Whiskey really is a spirit with something for all. From bourbon swigging cowboys to socialites sipping on a Mint Julep, there really is a whiskey cocktail to suit all tastes. If you like something spicy then try rye, if your tastes are a little sweeter try a Bourbon and if you like something raw and edgey grab a bottle of moonshine.

Smoky Sour

This terrific cocktail has wonderful deep and smoky flavors. The smoky sour is made using syrups which have been infused with black tea and cinnamon bark creating a wonderful intense flavor. Who says tea is only for adding to water? This takes it to a whole new level and experience.

Scofflaw

Scofflaw

Named after the illegal drinkers during Prohibition this one breaks all the rules. It’s actually a whiskey sour mixed with dry Martini. Combine dry Martini and bitters with your favorite citrus juices to create a fruity yet surprisingly dry cocktail. A truly delicious combination.

The Inside Job

The inside job

This one has something for everybody, it’s sweet, it’s boozy and it’s also rather bitter. To make the cocktail, combine bourbon with bitters and maraschino liquor – it’s traditional, its fresh and it’s delicious.  A dash of absinthe can add an extra kick if you fancy. It’s like a Manhattan and then some more.

La Valencia

This one is a little more complex but certainly worth the effort. To mix up La Valencia you’ll need sherry for dry sweetness, yellow Chartreuse and rye whiskey infused with chamomile. You’ll also need some simple syrup, lemon juice and Angostura. This is a great cocktail which even a novice mixologist can master with a little practice. It’s definitely worth the effort.

Forget the voodoo dolls and shrunken heads – this superb whiskey cocktail will cast a spell all of its own over your friends. It only takes three magic ingredients, one rye whiskey and two amaros to combine and create a spicy, bitter, delicious experience.
