Mix up banana liqueur with classic Sazerac for this fruity/citrus flavor modern classic cocktail.  Bananarac recipe is from mixologist Natasha David.







  • 1 ounce of Old Overholt Rye Whiskey
  • Absinthe
  • 1 ounce of Tariquet VSOP Armagnac
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Demerara syrup – 1 part water & two parts Demrara sugar
  • 1/2 ounce of  Giffard Banane du Brésil Liqueur
  • 1 dash of bitter

How to prepare Bananarac cocktail:

Add a little of absinthe into a chilled glass.  Swirl it a little inside the glass and throw it out.  Set the glass aside.  Pour the rest of the ingredients into mixing glass that is full of ice.  Stir well and strain it into the other glass.  Twist a swatch of lemon peel over the cocktail.
