Dutchman’s Daiquiri

Who knew they like it spicy in Holland.

  • 1.5 ounce Genever
  • 1/4 chile pepper, seeded and sliced
  • 1/2 ounce of rich sugar syrup – 2 part sugar and 1 part water
  • 3/4 ounce lime juice

How to prepare The Dutchman’s Daiquiri Cocktail:

Muddle the chile in the shaker.  Pour the remaining ingredients and fill up the shaker with ice.  Shake and double strain the content into a martini glass. You can garnish with red chile pepper.

If you can’t find Genever, you can use gin as the base spirit.  Genever is a malty Dutch version of gin that was very popular in 19th century.
