Floradora Cocktail

If you are craving for a fruity, sweet and sour classic gin drink, Florondora is a cocktail you should try.  It is facing obscurity but you still can find it in many mixology books and one of bartendenders favorite cocktail.  It’s name comes from a London’s 1900 musical.

At first, Florodora was made with rasberry syrup but these days almost all bartenders make it with framboise liqueur, primarily with Chambord which is a black rasberry flavor liqueur. 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. of gin
  • 1/2 oz. of framboise liqueur
  • 1/2 oz. of lime juice
  • Ginger ale

How to prepare Florodora cocktail:

Pour the gin, liqueur and lime juice into a long glass with ice.  Top with ginger ale and you can garnish your drink with lime wedge.
