Prompted by spring and summer, this fruity vodka drink brings together floral and strawberry flavors. This is a modern/classic summer cocktail that is served neat up. It’s not that strong but it’s complicated to make and requires a lot of ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 Ounces  Vodka
  • 1/2 ounces of Pear liqueur.  You can try Merlet Crème de Poire William
  • 3/4 ounces Hibiscus-Strawberry Syrup – see below to prepare this syrup
  • 3/4 ounces Fresh lemon juice
  • 1 egg white
  • 3 dashes Bittermens Burlesque Bitters

How to prepare Girls Next Door cocktail:

First make the Hibiscus-Strawberry syrup per instructions below.   Put the ingredients into a shaker without ice and shake well.  Then add ice and shake some more and strain into a glass.  To garnish, spray the top of the cocktail with lemon bitters in an atomizer or a spray bottle.

To prepare Hibiscus-Strawberry syrup, you need the following ingredients:

  • 8 ounces of water
  • 8 Large strawberries
  • 3 Hibiscus-rosehip teabags
  • 1 cup Sugar

Boil water in a small saucepan and add some teabags.  Wait for three to five minutes and take out the teabags.  Pour sugar and stir till it dissolves.  Add the mixture with strawberries into a blender and blend till it’s smooth.  Let it stand for twenty minutes and then strain it into a container and close it with a lid.  Let it cool.  It’s recommended that vodka to added to conserve the syrup if you don’t need to use it right away and keep it in refrigerator.
