Whiskey Sour

Considered as one of the most popular sour cocktails, whiskey sour is rightfully a great drink that is sour and sweet because of the whiskey and the syrup.  The key to great whiskey sour is choosing a good whiskey and fresh lemon juice.  There are some mixologists that add egg white which helps with sourness but it’s not necessary. 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 ounce of bourbon
  • 3/4 ounce of fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 ounce of simple syrup that is 1 part sugar and 1 part water

How to make whiskey sour cocktail:

Pour the ingredients into a shaker that is full of ice.  Shake well and strain into a glass that has fresh ice.  You can garnish with cherry or lemon wedge or both.
